Well, just installed ScribeFire in Firefox (the only browser to use) and am just doing a test run.  So far it’s nothing to write (blog) home about, but hey, it’s a lot easier than having to log in to the site and blah blah blah there.

Publishing…

It published.  Cool.

What a lovely story.

4 Marines Charged with Murder

I think it’s time to bring back the old policy, the old way of doing things, expecially in cases such as this. Exceute them by firing squad. That is, if they are proven guilty.

What brought this on really is this: lately here where I live, the 5th murder happened for the year. The town is about 100,000 with a major university and two other colleges. So far, if I recall, every murder this year has been on and by a black man. Now, I could be wrong, and I’m not portraying racism here, it’s a concern. It’s a concern for the black populous of the United States. This is not new. There was a shooting in my neighborhood a few weeks back, against and by black men.

Is it music? Is it the parental unit? Is it family? Is it lack of education, the internet, or some other influence? What is it that drives and motivates people to commit murder, and what is it primarily (and historically) this year that is anyway, locally and SEEMINGLY on the headlines, that is pushing black men overboard? Drugs? Gangsta warfare? Rap? Image?

I don’t know, but I am concerned, because a lot of these guys are pretty cool dudes. I’ve hung out with them (black men). I’ve talked intelligently with them. I’ve shared stories with them over 40 years. What is the deal? What happened? And when? Was it always like this?

In contrast in a town south of here, two or three murders have happened and 2 out of the 3 that I remember were white males on white males. And they tend to be more violent and use trickery like body dumps and hack saws.

Why am I writing this? These four guys (and the article was the one that made the reference that all four men were black), are/were MARINES. They killed a MARINE. That’s destruction of federal property (some of you may giggle, but it’s true). When did this sort of thing start getting tolerated in the Marines??

Why is this tolerated at all? Was your pride angered so much and in such a way that the only thing you could think of was to murder someone? Not only that, EXECUTION style? (two shots each in the back of the head). I think it’s a power struggle. And I think the roots of such power struggles run deep back many generations to tribal wars. I don’t know, I’m drawing at straws. Mexican men have the same issue: territorial status and power as North American Indians.

Can it be helped? Will anyone listen?

DISCLAIMER: this article comes off as completely racist, I assure you, it is not intended that way. I am not a racist nor have I ever been a racist. I don’t participate in rallys, and I don’t promote racism. This is a CONCERN of mine, and has been for a while. I was raised properly and in such a way that I wouldn’t support hate crimes or hate speech. Maybe the article will open the right set of eyes that belong to someone with enough concern and power to maybe alter things. Maybe it already happened on election day.

I’m exercising my right NOT to vote this year.  I have decided that I will no longer choose from the lesser of two evils.  I could do that by voting for MY candidate, and then vote on the local issues I guess, but what’s the point of that when America still only recognizes two parties?  America is like a flogged horse walking around with blinders on.  America has become a country of “enablers”.  Like a battered wife we stand around and say “I love you, no matter what you do to me”.  Not me man.  Not me.

It doesn’t matter who “wins” today, America still “loses”.

MY vote (because it doesn’t count anyway) is for Bob Barr

FOXNews.com or CNN.com. Yes, that’s right, I get all of my news from MSNBC.com, and other filler from ABCNews (despite the fact that I hate them).

FOXNews.com seems to have turned into tabloid news. Most of the headline links are “2 dead in arson fire”, “52 killed in Basra”, “2 killed in skydiving accident”, and so on. It’s blood and guts and Jessica Simpson (or in today’s case, the heiress to the Hearst fortune and her scandalous news). What a pile of garbage.

Here’s today’s news (4/6/2008):

FOXNews Headline PageFOXNews.com Entertainment PageCNN\'s Headline Page

I wouldn’t mind really that neither of these sites really don’t post news.  Ironically, if there wasn’t a political campaign in the Democratic party, there wouldn’t be mush news to report, or the reporters that work for these slag sites would actually have to resort back to things learned in journalism school.

What tics me off about these slag dumps called “news sites” is today is the day that the news broke about Charlton Heston’s death!  Now, I know not everyone agrees with him politically and what not, but give me a BREAK!  A church dissing King’s Message is more important?  And on FOXNews.com, ANY article about Heston is completely and totally ABSENT!  It’s not even at the bottom of their entertainment page!

My opinion of these news sites is sinking lower and lower and lower.  Before too long I’ll be getting my “news” from Saturday Night Live, or Nickelodeon.

I’m sorry. I have to post this. I can’t take it. HUGE night in US news, yes, I’m talking about the Oscars. A night when people like myself look forward to seeing their favorite movies (those that were nominated) win an award. So what right? Most people don’t watch them. That’s fine. But they ARE headline news, at least on every news site but ABCNews.com. And to prove it, here are the tops (msnbc, cnn, foxnews, cbs news, and just for kicks, bbc news (although not a headline, it’s centered appropriately on the page))

FOX OscarsCBS NewsCNN newsMSNBC newsBBC news

But what do our friends at ABCNEWS.com have on THEIR website?  The one, the ONLY, the…

UGH!

ABCNEWS.com blah

I swear, if it wasn’t for this [insert foul expletive here] or Britney Spears, ABCNEWs.com would be out of business.  What a load of crap.  Even when there is NO news, there’s news about her on ABCnew.com, because it’s fairly, screw that, blatantly obvious who they support in this campaign.

Again, I apologize for bringing on more campaign BS, but…just can’t help it.  It is so friggin irritating to me.  Maybe not to you, but it is to me.

Hey, dumbasses at ABCNews.com, GET  FIGGIN’ LIFE!!

What the ordinary average everyday citizen of this world does not realize is this:  life is staring at them.

Just thought you’d like to know.

Well, here I am again. I got an email from the Ron Paul campaign stating Ron Paul had placed 2nd at both the Nevada and South Carolina caucuses. I thought to myself, oh really? I didn’t see that. So, I hopped on, where else, MSNBC.com and did a search:

Clicked on Romney link

The above picture shows my search results. HEADLINE: Romney wins in Nevada caucuses (1/19/08). My search was simply “Nevada caucus”. That’s it. Not the story id# in the link (22739349).  When I clicked on the link, this is what I got (note the URL…same story ID#).

MSNBC Left Wing Slant

Now I know those of you that read this blog (or should I say…the both of you) could care less.  But I find this pretty important.  Why?  BECAUSE THEY ARE INFLUENCING YOUR VOTE!

That’s a hefty tag.  More than a dollup.  Be careful!

The good news is, Ron Paul came in 2nd in both the Nevada and South Carolina caucuses.  And no…I’m not influencing your vote.  Or maybe I am?  Can you tell the difference?

I never expected to see CNN (commonly called, the Clinton News Network of Crescent News Network {a slam toward their muslim extremist bias}) to come through an election with out swinging off the left side of the tree (see post below regarding competitors).

What the…?

But thank you CNN!

Stating the ObviousABC Left Slant

(this originally started out as an article about MSNBC’s slant, then I went to ABCNews after I wrote it.) Could it be any more obvious which way MSNBC swings politically? Is ANYONE going to call out the journalistic bias in news stories? I am. Click on the image. It’s all about Hillary. Somewhere in the left corner you’ll find an analysis blurb about the republicans win. Hey, I guess I shouldn’t complain. At least they got mentioned.

So what’s the cure? How about equal space? But hey. Can this website really be considered a news source?

Brit…still

(click on image). I mean, if it ain’t Hillary, it’s Britney. If you don’t like to read about the politics, I’m sure there’s plenty of Brittany (however you spell it) gossip. IN fact, let’s just not type Brittney, or Brittany, or Britney, or any of it. Let’s call her by her equisite initials: B.S. Three B.S. stories featured out of 8 headlines. That’s over 1/3. But hey, if you don’t like B.S., you can always click to find out where Lohan was today.

GOOD GRIEF! What ever happened to the Brad Renfro story? Don’t click on the Entertainment headline; It ain’t there.

Sewar?

I thought I’d share this with the three of you that read my blog. This is a picture of a headline at ABCNews.com (click thumbnail for full view). Can anyone really be THAT stupid and have a job where the TEXT is what matters? Is it really POSSIBLE? You bet!

This is not the first incident of ignorance from an online news website. CNN.com and MSNBC.com are now (in my book) infamous for bad spelling and grammar. I should create a new page for my blog and call it: Bad spellers of the world – UNTIE! But I won’t. I might however put one out there and just keep a journal or record of incidents (not incidence) that should not be tolerated from an editor.

I don’t blame the low-ladder writer (not rider) who posted this headline. It could be the webmaster. I blame the editor who let it slide. It’s obvious someone is getting paid too much, for so little.
